New Features Coming to Xbox Live

XBL may get the upgrades before the end of this year.
Microsoft revealed today that the Xbox Live online gaming service will be seeing substantial upgrades in the near future. Dubbed "Tsunami", these new set of features will incorporate performance upgrades and more advanced options. The following is a general outline of what Microsoft plans to provide:
-Improved team dynamics, including enhanced intrateam messaging and challenges to rival clans both within the Xbox Live dashboard and on the Web via MSN Messenger.
-Team customization features, which will allow gamers to create and share team mottos and emblems, as well as statistics, rosters, history, maps, and other content.
-New custom-competition option that will let gamers build new types of contests and matches for titles that are created and administered by the publisher and/or the users.
There is no firm release date for this "Tsunami" upgrade, but Microsoft stated they will be ready before 2004 ends.
